The 29th separate intelligence battalion is a military intelligence unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine formed in 2014 in accordance with the joint directive of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated November 25, 2014 and the order of the commander of the operational command "South" dated November 29, 2014 No. 1125 "On the formation of the military unit field post B4021".

Based in Donetsk region. Subordinate to the operational command "East".
