The 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after the Kosh Chieftain Ivan Sirko - the formation of mechanized troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This legendary brigade, stationed in the village of Klugino-Bashkyrivka, has been the "shield" of Kharkiv Oblast for many years. During the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, it was the 92nd Armored Brigade, together with other Ukrainian defenders, who managed to hold Kharkiv and a large part of the region, and during the spring and autumn counteroffensives, they liberated almost the entire region.

The brigade was created in December 1999, when the 6th Division of the National Guard of Ukraine was transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and renamed the 6th Mechanized Division, after which it was reformed into the 92nd Armored Brigade. By the decree of the second president of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma, the brigade retained its honorary titles and state awards, so until 2007 it was called the 92nd Separate Mechanized Ropshyn Brigade of the Orders of the October Revolution and the Red Banner.

In April 2012, the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division of the 92nd SABr was supposed to ensure the security of Euro-2012 in Donetsk. Also, 104 servicemen of the brigade participated in UN peacekeeping missions in Lebanon, Liberia, Sierra Leone and the former Yugoslavia.

In mid-March 2014, fighters of the 92nd Brigade went to the area of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Kharkiv Region, as Russia had already occupied Crimea, started to destabilize the situation in the eastern regions of Ukraine and carried out military maneuvers near the border.

In the future, servicemen of the brigade took part in the battles near the towns of Debaltseve in the Donetsk region and Shchastya, the village of Stanytsia Luhanska and the village of Bakhmutivka in the Luhansk region. Thus, on December 15, 2014, near the village of Lobacheve, Luhansk Region, a battle of the 92nd OMBr took place with a sabotage and reconnaissance group of invaders. Three groups of scouts of the 92nd Brigade with a total number of 20 fighters tracked down the enemy's DRG and as a result of the battle eliminated three and captured two occupiers.

With the beginning of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the brigade participated in the defense of Kharkiv in the Chuguyiv direction. Also, the 92nd Armored Brigade took an active part in the spring and autumn counteroffensives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. As a result, servicemen of the 92nd Brigade liberated a number of important settlements.

For the first three days, the brigade fought in the direction from the administrative border of Kharkiv and Sumy regions to the administrative border of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions. It was the area of responsibility of the 92nd Brigade.

During the autumn counteroffensive, servicemen of the 92nd SABr took part in the liberation of the cities of Balaklia and Kupyansk.

We announce a collection for the necessary consumables for car maintenance for the 92nd OShBr named after Ivan Sirk.

Join our initiative and help the military have everything they need to complete their missions. Every hryvnia you donate will be a significant contribution to ensuring the safety of our military. Together we will be able to help the defenders of Ukraine and thank them for their courage and self-sacrifice.

Take your step to WIN!
