The 120th separate reconnaissance battalion is a military intelligence unit of Ukraine, which is part of the Ground Forces of Ukraine according to its organizational and personnel structure.

The 120th separate reconnaissance battalion was formed in March 2022 following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops on February 24, 2022. The base of the personnel of the battalion was mobilized, reservists with combat experience, as well as experienced military personnel. The symbol of the unit was a sword with a "Flamberg" blade.

The Latin phrase Fortem Vincit - the strong wins - was chosen as the slogan.

Fighters of the battalion fought in hot spots of Chernihiv region, Kyiv region, Kharkiv region and Donetsk region. And now they continue to perform tasks in various areas of the front.
