Military unit A3723 is a component and belongs to the Northern Operational-Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine.

It was they who stood in the way when the enemy tried to take Kyiv, capturing the nearby airport in Hostomel and simultaneously launching mechanized brigades from the Belarusian border.

On the ground route of the Russian troops, Ukrainian military created the maximum number of obstacles, obstructing the paths as best they could with concrete blocks, old equipment, and even metal "hedgehogs" that are more reminiscent of World War II than modern military operations. They even removed or painted over road signs so that the Russians, who did not have good maps, would wander, not knowing the terrain.
